Deeper than the Dead by Tami Hoag
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Really good mystery. Particularly good because of the depiction of multiple kinds of dysfunctional families.
Small college town not too far from Los Angeles. Set in 1985… from all the complaints about that on here, I was surprised to find it was acceptable to me; someone here said it was unacceptable that one of the detectives referred to future use of national databases and personal computers…. well, I was in a profession where I pushed for national networks, databases, and personal computers as early as 1980 so it didn’t bother me!
Very entertaining book.
